ABOUT RUDY LABORDUS

Experience
changes
what you see

I’ve spent my career across sales, business ownership, marketing, advertising, business development and strategy.

Good ideas look
different when you're
responsible for
making them work.

Over the last 35 years I’ve established and run businesses, including my own advertising agency for more than 15 years. I’ve managed teams, directed millions of dollars in marketing investment and worked directly with business owners, CEOs and boards.

I understand the difference between an idea that sounds good and one that makes commercial sense.

There's more than
one way to make a
business successful.

I’ve helped businesses attract customers, enter new markets, strengthen their positioning and find new ways to compete.

My experience spans major Australian organisations, ASX-listed companies and privately owned businesses across many industries.

You bring the knowledge
of your business.
I bring the experience
of many others.

Sometimes the solution to a challenge in one industry is already common practice in another.

That experience helps me recognise patterns, connect ideas and identify possibilities that aren’t always apparent from within a business.

I don't always
agree with my clients

And I don't think they'd be
getting much value
from me if I did.

I’m not interested in challenging something for the sake of it. I’m interested in making sure we’re pursuing the right opportunity.

Sometimes that means supporting the original thinking. Sometimes it means questioning assumptions or recommending a different direction.

What matters isn’t whose idea we pursue. It’s whether we’re making the best decision for the business.

My involvement
doesn't end
when the thinking
is done.

When you work with Customers Australia, you work directly with me, from the initial conversations and strategic thinking through to overseeing the work that follows.

I remain personally responsible for the strategic direction and oversight, whether we’re working with your team, ours or bringing in specialist expertise.

If there's an
opportunity in your
business worth pursuing,
I'd like to help you find it.
